Set it up once
- A separate email, just for adult sites. It’s optional at sign-up, but it lets support verify you without anything landing in your everyday inbox.
- A username with no link to you. Not your name, and not a handle you use anywhere else.
- A strong, unique password. A password manager makes this painless.
- Two-factor authentication. Chaturbate encourages every member to turn it on, and it’s the best protection your account can have.
- Log out on shared devices, or use a private window.
Between us. A password manager and two-factor login are what keep the account itself yours. Everything else here keeps it quiet.
Chat is never private
Chaturbate’s own policy is to treat everything you type, direct messages included, as public. So:
- Don’t share your real name, city, workplace or photos.
- Don’t ask performers for theirs. Many use a stage name and keep the rest to themselves.
- Tip anonymously if you’d rather your username stay out of the room’s chat. The option is in the tip box.
- Be wary of anyone who wants to move the conversation somewhere else. Chaturbate strongly discourages it, and can’t help with anything that happens off the site.
Money, quietly
- Pay the way you’re comfortable with. Card, PayPal and other options show up at checkout.
- Check how the charge will appear on your statement before you buy. Chaturbate’s billing support page explains it.
- Don’t save your card on a shared device.
On this site
Press Esc twice, or tap Hide at the top of any page, and this site is replaced with something harmless. You can also give your browser tab a plain title and icon:
Safety on the platform
Every performer who earns on Chaturbate has verified their identity with a live selfie and a government photo ID. There’s zero tolerance for minors and for anything that isn’t fully consensual, and reports are taken seriously. If something in a room looks wrong, use that room’s report button.
Ignore these
- Requests for payment outside the site. Performers aren’t allowed to ask for it. Anyone who does is breaking the rules, or isn’t who they say they are.
- “Free token” generators. They don’t exist. They’re after your login or your card.
- “Support” messages asking for your password. Real support never needs it.
